School Office Information and Parent Questionaire

Dear Parents and Carers,

We hope you are enjoying your summer and beginning to regain a level of normality. We are very much looking forward to seeing you all in September, but wanted to give you the opportunity to share any relevant information with us prior to that. From September, our main school office will not freely be open to parents and teachers will remain separate from morning drop off points, therefore please use this opportunity to communicate with us.

If your child has not returned to school since school closures in March, please complete the short questionnaire using the link below:

This is the link docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdkfBcFniDD9VKR57sW8yPLWgh5VI6hnV16XADkHAyPj8XOlA/viewform?usp=sf_link

Please complete the form by 31st August 2020.

If you would like to discuss any particular matters in more detail with our school leaders or your child's class teacher, you can continue to contact school by emailing enquiry@heathfld.bham.sch.uk or calling the office on 0121 4646474 (from 2nd September).

School reopens to all children in Years 1-6 on Thursday 3rd September.

Thank you for your time,
The Heathfield Team

Reopening in September - information for parents/carers

Dear Parents/Carers

I am sure you will agree that we are living through extra-ordinary times. The year 2020 will be one that I am sure future generations will learn about in school. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support during these difficult times, the many messages my colleagues and I have received have been welcomed.

We are planning, in line with the latest guidance from the government and the Department for Education (DfE) to open each of our schools to all pupils in September. Each school leadership team along with our Central Support Team has carried out extensive and detailed risk assessments to make our schools as safe as possible for the children when they return. Each Head of School will write to you this week with the information you need about your school. From September, things will be a little different for parents/carers and the children due to the safety measures we will have in place.

The children's well-being will be our main priority when they return. We will also of course be making sure that your children catch up with the learning they have missed out on as soon as possible. Some children may be worried or anxious about coming back to school after such a long time, let me assure you that the school staff will be doing everything they can to help.

As always, thank you for your continued support.

Free School Meals

COVID Summer Food Fund We are pleased to be able to continue to offer eligible parents and pupils access to free school meals during the six week summer holiday by supplying supermarket eGift cards, that can be spent locally to you. During the next week (and before Friday 17th July), eligible pupils will be issued with a single £90 eCode, the equivalent of £15 per week, £3 per meal, for 6 weeks. This will be the final eCode issued by us as we plan for all pupils to return to school in September. Your £90 eGift card can be used in multiple transactions and on multiple visits, until you have spent the full value of the eGift card. eCodes can be redeemed online for an eGift card for the supermarket of your choice by visiting freeschoolmeals.co.uk. If you have successfully redeemed an eCode, but have queries about your eGift Card (for example, you haven’t received it within 24 hours of ordering it at freeschoolmeals.co.uk) then please contact Edenred by email at freeschoolmealsparentscarers@edenred.com and Edenred can look into this for you.
