Eligible families will be receiving their eCode via email w/c 25th January 2021 to provide lunch time meals for three weeks until half term.
Dear Parents
Understandably, we have had a lot of enquiries from parents about laptops and devices from the Department for Education (DfE) for families who need them. We are doing everything we can to support families who need a device or need to be connected to the internet. At this moment in time, we have been allocated just over 80 devices across our 5 schools (which currently serve just over 3000 pupils).
Dear Parents and Carers,
Following the Prime Ministers announcement on Monday 4th January 2021 confirming School closures until February half term 2021, school will now be closed to all pupils except for pupils of critical workers and vulnerable pupils.
Free School Meals and Vouchers
Following the Prime Ministers announcement on Monday 4th January 2021, educational establishments are still awaiting further clarification and guidance from the Government regarding plans for Free School Meals and any potential Free School Meals voucher schemes. Therefore, we do not have any vouchers available for distribution at this stage.
During the Christmas holiday, we are pleased to be able to continue to offer eligible parents and pupils access to free school meals by supplying supermarket eGift cards, that can be spent locally to you, funded by Birmingham City Council.
During the week commencing 14th December, eligible pupils from Reception to Year 6 will be issued with a £30 eCode, the equivalent of £15 per week, £3 per meal, for two weeks.
We are pleased to support and promote the news that The Youth Sport Trust have taken the step to deliver a free virtual after school club as part of a national response to the second lockdown. The 30-minute club will take place at 5pm each weekday and be led by a different member of the YST’s athlete mentor network, starting on Thursday 12 November with world no.1 female inline skater and 10-time British Champion Jenna Downing. The After School Sport Club will then run for five weeks until December 18 and children and young people can take part live by visiting our YouTube channel. youtube.com/user/YouthSportTrust Aimed mainly at primary-aged children, a different theme has been assigned for each day of the club - Adventure Monday, Tuesday Play, Wild Wednesday, Thinking Thursday and Fun Friday. The YST hope that this will provide support, capacity and inspiration to sit alongside the other great work and offers that are available for schools and children and young people to engage in.
